Fall '08 Color Report via Nail Polish Bottle

Last season, I was feeling a bit creative and brought you the spring color report as actual nail lacquers and I found that many of you really enjoyed my interpretation! The Pantone Color Institute®, world-renowned authority on color, has recently released their latest color report for fall 2008 and I'm looking to make this post a seasonal tradition! I scoured the Internet to match each color perfectly to its respective polish. If you're hoping to incorporate these colors into next season's wardrobe, a bold application of nail lacquer is a great way to celebrate fall's return.

The Pantone Color Institute® describes fall 2008 as the season of change. Cool refreshing greens, purples, and blues are lifted with the warmth of sweet raspberry red, burnt orange, and a golden mustard yellow. Blue Iris, translated as O.P.I's "Dating a Royal", is a vibrant balance of purple and blue and Pantone claims it to be one of the top 10 colors chosen by designers for this season."Fall is traditionally a time for subdued, quiet colors, but this season we are seeing a shift toward cool hues with bright, exciting undertones," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. "Conventional tones such as warm autumn hues, chocolate browns and steel grays are also among the fall color choices."

Bilson is a Bandaged Beauty

I couldn't resist posting pictures of Rachel Bilson looking sweet and chic in this signature Hervé Léger bandage mini by Max Azria. She was appointed co-chair at the annual Whitney Contemporaries' Art Party & Auction that was held at Skylight Studios in New York City. Rachel chose to accompany her skin-tight cream mini with Lanvin nude watersnake skin platforms and a multi-colored feather clutch, a concept embraced by Max Azria while creating the Fall 2008 collection.

When the 26-year-old actress was asked by InStyle reporters, Bronwyn Barnes and Natasha Wolff, about her role of co-chair at the event, she responded, "I'm so honored". Rachel also admitted that her 7-year-old sister Hattie has already been bitten by the fashion bug."Yes! She borrows my clothes," Bilson sighed. "And I can't believe it, but soon her feet are going to be big enough that she'll be able to borrow my shoes!"

This specific Hervé Léger by Max Azria bandage mini is currently a piece in the Fall 2008 collection. It was seen strutting down the runway during New York Fashion Week in February. Rachel successfully translated the runway feathered hairpiece into a feathered clutch for her red carpet look.

This video includes the Hervé Léger by Max Azria Fall 2008 runway show. Rachel's dress can be seen around the 1:40 mark!

Seriously Long-Lasting Mascara!

I find applying mascara to be the most time consuming part of my daily beauty regimen. What I'd give to have my eyelashes permanently curled and primped! I've looked into Eyelash Tinting, a service provided at hair salons, but not only is it pricey and temporary, it's also outlawed in a few states due to its possible health risks. Noo thank you!

Tarte Cosmetics has come to the rescue! Introducing their latest product, 4 Day Stay Lash Stain Mascara. 4 days??! Tarte ditches the thick goop for a long-lasting pigment that actually stains the lashes while keeping them soft and flexible.

PolyFlex™ technology is the secret behind this revolutionary product. Cross-polymers are combined with mineral pigments and then treated with ProVitamin B5 to create a binding tint.

4 Day Stay Lash Stain promises to not fade or flake while showering, swimming, or just being your fabulous self throughout the 4 day period. While maintaining the perfect application of mascara, this product contains a special blend of Tarte's skinvigorating™ ingredients that work to benefit the condition of the skin and hair. Pure water delivers moisture to the lashes and helps them retain a high level of suppleness. ProVitamin B5 treats and thickens the lashes. Mineral pigments help protect against harsh UVA/UVB rays while soothing and softening the skin.

It looks as though the 4 Day Stay Lash Stain has already won over the cosmetic queens because Tarte's website is currently sold out of it! Luckily, Sephora still has their shelves stocked. I can't wait to get my hands on this life saver!

Hollywood's Got Moshi Mania

A rising fashion label, Lauren Moshi, is currently for sale in the Robertson Blvd. Kitson boutiques, but are quickly flying off the shelves. Lauren Moshi tees and tanks have become a must-have item among Hollywood celebrities and fashionistas alike.

While truly embodying the concept, fashion is an art, Lauren Moshi uses her artistic talent to hand-sketch designs for her collection of tees, tanks, scarves, and hoodies. Eye-catching designs range from the rustic (motorcycles, guns, vintage cameras) to natural beauty (wildlife, roses, peace symbols). The Lauren Moshi website states that "every stroke, every mark, every line on every print is hand drawn by Lauren Moshi. Each garment is an original piece of artwork". The founders of this fashion label, Lauren and her brother Michael, aim their line of work towards those who appreciate "authentic details and only the finest fabrics and best resources".

Only 200 prints are produced of each style in the Lauren Moshi collections, which is certainly a kind of exclusiveness that celebrities are drawn to. Moshi's designs have appeared on the bellies of young Hollywood including, Rachel Bilson, Lauren Conrad, Lo Bosworth, Sienna Miller, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and Liv Tyler. If your looking to snag one of Lauren Moshi's signature limited-edition tops, more designs can be found at Lauren Moshi Clothing and the best prices ($70) are available at Revolve Clothing.

Revive Those Locks!

I was recently in the mood for reminiscing and browsed through some photos from last summer. I realized that, over the past months of cloudy skies and high precipitation, my blonde locks have lost some life! I was anxious for the summer sun to grant me those bright and lively highlights once again. Now how do I toss this dull brassy mess on top of my head?

While in search of miracle, I stumbled upon this new product, L'Oreal Tone Refiner™. It claimed to be a "five-minute toning gloss that instantly, subtly tones down yellow, orange, or brassy tones and adds shine". How perfect!

I lathered up the sweet scented toner and gave it 10 minutes since my hair is extra thick. Once my hair was rinsed and began to dry, I honestly saw a great difference! The once warm and yellow blonde tones were now cool and lustrous. It now looks natural and shines bright! I was so impressed with the results; I highly recommend this product!

L'Oreal Tone Refiner™ is also available for brunettes and claims to bring out powerful rich brown tones and allow highlights to be more naturally visible.

I found multiple positive reviews about this product on various sites. Buzzillions product review site gave the L'Oreal Tone Refiner™ a 4.8 out of 5 stars. Check out some of these helpful comments from actual buyers.

Olsens to Add 'Jewelry Designer' to Their Resumé

I thought Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen had officially dipped their toes in all the fashion and media waters when I heard they were planning to publish a coffee table book; however, today the twins have proven me wrong.

Mary-Kate and Ashley have teamed up with Robert Lee Morris, a CFDA award-winning jewelry designer and sculptor, to create a jewelry line for their Elizabeth and James collection. The new jewelry line, simply dubbed Robert Lee Morris for Elizabeth and James, will be launched within a couple months.

Robert Lee Morris was just recently awarded the CFDA Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award. His talent and insight will certainly inspire the twins and help them pave the way towards their newest endeavor.

Robert's signature designs are clean, fresh, and ultra modern. Check out some of his latest pieces to get an idea of what to expect from the twins' new collection. Other designs can be viewed at RobertLeeMorris.com.
