Get Mila's Summer Bronzed Look

Mila Kunis arrived at New York Moves Magazine's "Art and Design" Issue launch party at Tailor tonight in NYC. She was dressed for summer and it looked like the sun was her makeup artist. Sizzling bronzed eyes and sun-kissed cheeks.

Bare Escentuals offers some great mineral-based products that can help achieve Mila's look. For Mila's sultry eyes, I suggest light strokes of Bare Escentuals Coconut Palm eyeshadow over the lids and along the base of your lower lashes. For those endless lashes, you're gonna need some major curling action! Once, the desired curl has been formed, you'll need two coats of Bare Escentuals Big Tease mascara on the upper and lower lashes. A natural bronzed tone can be achieved with an all over dusting of Bare Escentuals Warmth All-Over face color. Warmth will soon become your favorite product in your makeup case. For those glowing cheekbones, Bare Escentuals Golden Gate blush is perfect.

Mila was a prized guest at the magazine's launch party due to her current spot as their cover girl. Her rising popularity led Moves to give her a 6-page photo spread and interview as well.

R-Bils is Back

I've been reluctant to do a post about Rachel Bilson because I feared her freshly cut bangs turned her look from cute to shaggy (especially after seeing her ensemble at the Met's Costume Gala). R-Bils fans can now rejoice because her adorable self has finally returned!

Rachel was seen shopping for Mother's Day at the Glendale Galleria in Los Angeles last Saturday. It looks like her bangs have grown out a bit and I'm loving the middle part. I must warn you about an overload of cuteness in one of the following pictures of Rachel and her appropriately shaggy friend, Thurman Murman.

Charlize Theron is a Tall Glass of Grape Juice

The Christian Dior Resort 2009 Collection runway show kicked off at Gustavino's restaurant in NYC last night. Celebrity Dior fans were on site including Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Lopez; however, all eyes were on Charlize Theron. Charlize was effortlessly beautiful in a bright and fresh grape colored frock with a plunging V-neck, oversized ruffled neckline, and a flattering 3-tiered skirt. Stunning!

Dior's Resort 2009 Collection was said to be inspired by Lady Bird Johnson, the First Lady of The US from 1963-1969. Lady Bird's mission was to spread beauty nationwide. Other than her classic fashions, she planting wildflowers along the US highways.

The runway was designed to resemble a sixties style swimming pool and models beared vibrant hues of pinks, blues, oranges, and greens, loud prints, and jeweled/embroidered bikinis.

Chanel Opens with a Spash of Summer Color

This month, Chanel is opening another Los Angeles boutique on North Robertson Blvd. This new 5,395 sq. ft. store will be designed by Peter Marino. Aside from the flagship store located on North Rodeo Drive, which carries the full Chanel ready-to-wear collections, shoes, fine jewelry, and beauty & fragrance, this one will offer up-to-date merchandise displayed in a dramatic gallery-like space. To go along with it's artistic atmosphere, artist Robert Greene has created two pieces done in oil on vellum collaged on an aluminum panel for the store.

Chanel Makeup's new global creative director, Peter Philips, joined in celebrating the grand opening by designing four limited-edition nail lacquers. Each lacquer bottle is priced at $25 each and boasts bright pop-art shade.

All four polishes have a playful Los Angeles theme name: Melrose, Rodeo Drive, LA Sunrise, and LA Sunset. This limited-edition collection will initially be available only in Chanel stores, but Chanel.com will be stocking the latest lacquers beginning in June.

Designers and Stars Hand-In-Hand at Costume Gala

The event that fashionistas anxiously await finally kicked off tonight. The 2008 Costume Institute Gala opened its spring exhibit, "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The playful theme is set to explore the superhero's iconic costume of mask, cape, and bodysuit as it has appeared in the fashion world. The event is hosted by Giorgio Armani, Julia Roberts, George Clooney, and Vogue editor Anna Wintour and the exhibit will be on display from May 7th to September 1st.

Celebrities that have made an impact on the fashion industry will be guest of various world-renowned designers. Here is a list of participating designers and their special guests:

There was, of course, some seriously sleek looks and some unfortunate ensembles. Let's just focus on those who grabbed my attention.

Gisele Bundchen arrived with Tom Brady on her arm, both dressed in Donatella Versace. Gisele's silk champagne gown was form fitting with uniquely designed crossover straps.

According to The Daily, Diane von Furstenberg created dresses for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen especially for this event. Ashley was all smiles in a sleek black gown with cutout sides. Mary-Kate brought her usual quirkiness to her hairstyle, but went all gold in a glimmering sequins gown with gold Louboutin pumps. Possibly a gold overload? Let's face it...the Olsens could have worn anything and I would have still included them in this post. :)

Diane Kruger was dressed in an adorable Alberta Ferretti silver mini dress with a ruched hemline and a jeweled appliqué strap. She was accompanied by Joshua Jackson.

RAFW Bares Sunkissed Skin on the Runway

The Rosemount Australian Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2008/09 was wrapping up today at Sydney's Circular Quay. I was excited to check out some of the latest collections from the Asia Pacific designers. The continuously beautiful weather and clear water beaches were certainly inspirational while creating these spring/summer designs. Here are some highlights from this week!

When reviewing the collections, I stumbled upon one of my favorite Australian models, Valeria Erokhina. Valeria participated in the first season of TLC's A Model Life with Petra Nemcova. She appeared in multiple shows throughout the Australian Fashion Week. It's fun to see her out there on the runway after watching her learn how to walk and pose throughout the modeling competition show. These are some samples of Valeria in various shows this week.
