This month, Chanel is opening another Los Angeles boutique on North Robertson Blvd. This new 5,395 sq. ft. store will be designed by Peter Marino. Aside from the flagship store located on North Rodeo Drive, which carries the full Chanel ready-to-wear collections, shoes, fine jewelry, and beauty & fragrance, this one will offer up-to-date merchandise displayed in a dramatic gallery-like space. To go along with it's artistic atmosphere, artist Robert Greene has created two pieces done in oil on vellum collaged on an aluminum panel for the store.
Chanel Makeup's new global creative director, Peter Philips, joined in celebrating the grand opening by designing four limited-edition nail lacquers. Each lacquer bottle is priced at $25 each and boasts bright pop-art shade.
All four polishes have a playful Los Angeles theme name: Melrose, Rodeo Drive, LA Sunrise, and LA Sunset. This limited-edition collection will initially be available only in Chanel stores, but Chanel.com will be stocking the latest lacquers beginning in June.
